Business.com is sponsoring a contest for entrepreneurs who have experiences in solving tough business challenges. If you have a personal story to share, you can enter to win $2,000 to $10,000.
Anita Campbell and Joel Libava of Small Business Trends are experts included in the panel of judges that will narrow down the field to 50 finalists. Then winners across 10 categories will be determined by popular vote in December. All winning businesses will be featured in a national, year-long publicity campaign related to the contest on Business.com and partner sites.
All entries must be received by December 3, 2008. Simply submit a short description of your business challenge and how it was solved. Your business must be located within the United States or Canada to be eligible to win. For further details, be sure to read the complete contest rules.

Whee! I want to win — need funding for my business.
Wow. This sounds really interesting.
Steve,
Thanx for posting this, and for the shout-out!
Joel Libava
Interesting. How will this be judged? Do you have to present it to the panel and answer open ended questions?
Hi all - thanks for your interest! We’re really excited about the contest here at Business.com.
To answer Arthur’s question about judging, it will actually be much easier on all involved.
Entering the contest involves describing a business challenge you faced and how you solved it (in no more than 350 words total), and answering a few additional questions so we an contact you about your entry.
After the submission phase ends on Wednesday, Dec 3rd, the panel of judges will help us narrow down entries to a list of five finalists for each of the ten contest categories.
Once we have the list of finalists, we’ll open a public voting phase for the best solution per category.
You can enter as many times as you like as long as each is a unique business challenge and solution. Hope to see your entries!
Really interesting initiative.
Sounds like an excellent opportunity. Can’t wait to hear about the grand prize winner. It’d be interesting to follow up in 2009 as well . . . see what use they put the funds to and the difference the money makes in their business for them!
We’ve just recently posted some really good submissions that have come in. Check them out at http://offers.business.com/content/categories
