A good point made is to only store your customer’s information for as long as you have to.  Storing them indefinitely, poses the risk of theft.  Once the data is no longer needed, purge it completely from your system.  Be sure to read the article for other good points to consider before it’s too late.

    This is definitely an important subject especially around this time of year. As a retailer it’s your responsibility to keep your customer’s info as safe as possible. One slip and you loose the valuable trust that you have worked so hard to establish. Having an outside source look at your site once in a while is well worth the price.

    You’re right Don. In fact, building that TRUST from your customers is really one of the most challenging task business owners must accomplish, IMO.
