Beef Jerky Turns Into Business Cards

» by in: Marketing

Many people may disagree but I still think every business should have business cards.  Business cards connect you with customers and serve as a good reminder of your business.  With a good design, you can make a positive first impression and a possible long term connection.  To keep your business card from being sent straight into the trash can, it requires a creative touch.

But, would you ever give out business cards laser printed on beef jerky?  Weird right?  TechCrunch recently mentioned these MeatCards which are still in the testing process.  Although it’s an eye catching choice for creating some buzz, I also find it a bit creepy.  Instead, I’ll stick to trying to come up with other unique ideas like the ones found in 100 (Really) Creative Business Cards.

Woooot… My gosh! Aren’t these meat won’t be spoiled or something? Anyway, creative indeed! ;)

Hmmm. . . I don’t know what to think. If you’re in the meat business – very creative and I think it will be well received by your contacts. But if you’re not, there’s a couple things.

It’s a little gross. It’s not very sanitary to leave it lying around the office and it won’t last. If they want your number 3 months after receiving this meat card, chances are . . . it won’t be lying around anymore.

Another thing . . . meat card. Even the phrase is kinda repulsive unless again, if you’re in that particular industry.

Hm. I like the creativity, but as a practical matter, what if your client is a vegan? (Seriously — he or she could be really turned off by jerky.) Additionally, if it’s eaten, your information is lost.

Back to the drawing board, I think…

Good grief, I wonder what will come next. I couldn’t imagine the looks I would get when I handed customers a piece of dried meat. Once good thing is that it probably will get your business talked about.

That is certainly….eye catching..though I don’t think it would inspire me to keep the card. It may inspire me to REMEMBER the business.

Very interesting, however…I’m sure my dog would eat it!

I have to agree on this one, it was the only one on the list that just did not appeal at all. The idea of printing your business name on meat is bordering on ludicrous. Meat has a use-by date at which point an awful odour. Neither features that any business wants to project.

Who thinks that businesses don’t need business cards? That’s one argument I’ve never heard but I’m curious. As for the meat cards, no thank you.

Wow Lesley. I think they got you in the way that you’re inspired to remember their business because that is what is really all these are about.

But just any others here, it’s creative but it won’t just last for days. The meat will be spoiled in due time.

Wow. That is too funny. Meat? I wouldn’t be able to read it nor would I actually keep it. I would eat it. I think they should look for creative ways of making business cards elsewhere. HAHA
