Selling Your Website? Find Out What It’s Worth First

debra matthewsIf you are ever planning to sell your website, you will want to find out what your website is worth.  You’re in luck!  Just a few days ago, Small Business Trends Radio conducted an interview that will help you answer that important question.

Debra Matthews, Senior Internet Business Broker at Quiet Light Brokerage, joins host, Anita Campbell and co-host Brent Leary, to discuss how sites are currently valued, how the marketplace is currently reacting to web businesses for sale, what things a web business owner can do to increase their value – and the common mistakes web business owners make when it’s time to sell their business.

Even if you aren’t planning to sell your site just yet, Debra gives valuable information that you can keep in mind in the future.  We work so hard to build and maintain our websites, this information will help you get the most from your efforts.

    Amanda,

Do you know how much http://www.smbceo.com is worth at the moment? :) I will listen to the podcast interview this weekend.

This was a good show. I listened to the audio podcast and there’s some real valuable information there. Like you said, even if you’re not in the market currently, it pays to know what you need to be keeping records of just in case that big offer ever comes in!

I enjoyed hosting the show very much and urge others to listen to it. Even if you are NOT planning to sell you website, I guarantee you’ll start thinking differently about it — taking it much more seriously and seeing it through a prospective buyer’s eyes. It will look completely different then.

I think a lot of sites are valued by the amount of unique visitors they get, how often they visit and how those vistors interact. Many more factors of course but those 3 are good contributors!

I agree, this is good info to know even if you aren’t planning to sell any time soon. It’s also encouraging to actually see what all your hard work has resulted in. It’ll give you the boost to continue growing and striving to be better. I’ll be sure to pass this podcast on.
