Strategies For Driving Your Business Forward

A few days ago Anita Campbell of Small Business Trends participated as a panelist for the webinar, “Small Business, Big Wins: Innovative Tools to Drive Your Business Forward”.  Anita and co-panelist Barbara Corcoran, who you may have seen on the television show Shark Tank, discussed smart business strategies for getting ahead.

Both Anita and Barbara contributed several success strategies which they discussed in depth.  Here is a small taste of some of the tips you can hear:

Anita says:

  • Be curious about new productivity technologies.
  • Invest in highly efficient forms of marketing that require a low financial investment.

Barbara says:

  • When big companies are cutting back and laying low, that’s the little guy’s best time to move ahead.
  • You have the power to look bigger than you actually are.

This is just a sampling of all of the great tips shared during this StartupNation webinar. If you’d like to explore the rest of the tips offered by Anita and Barbara, listen to the archived webinar, Small Business, Big Wins: Innovative Tools to Drive Your Business Forward.

“# You have the power to look bigger than you actually are.”

I agree that the technology around today allows this, but this isn’t always a good thing.

There are advantages to being the “small guy” and it’s often worth shouting that you are one.

Some common traits: agility, quicker to make decisions, better support to customers, clearer focus, willing to go the extra mile, less red tape and holes to jump through etc..

Some clients / markets find this attractive and want to work with these kinds of people and businesses.
