An Insightful Interview with Doctor Anosh Ahmed

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Doctor Anosh Ahmed of Chicago (presently Houston) to discuss his life as an entrepreneur and his passion for giving back to his community.

Doctor Anosh Ahmed

In our conversation, Dr. Ahmed shared insights for fellow entrepreneurs, information about his charity work, and more.

Doctor Anosh Ahmed, before we dig deep, can you tell us a little bit about your backstory?

Of course. I immigrated to the United States at a young age. When I was 13 years old, a medical illness left my father paralyzed from the waist down.

Because of this unfortunate incident, I entered the workforce as a child to help support my family. These experiences and my humble upbringing led to lifelong explorations and commitments to entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

I’ve also earned various business and medical degrees. I’m an internal medicine physician and the founder of the Anosh Inc Foundation, which is my biggest project right now.

What are you most proud of?

Although I’ve faced many obstacles in my career, my greatest achievement has been giving back to my community. I have a powerful commitment to my community and neighbors. I give a lot of time and energy to helping those in need through charities and events. Not only is this something I’m proud of, but I also enjoy it.

Can you tell us about some of the charities and events you’ve been involved with?

Yes, through Anosh Inc Foundation, we have provided many things to those in need, including care kits, food, and school supplies.

I’ve given to various charities, including Developments in Literacy, the American Red Cross, Island by Touch, Islamic Services for Deaf & Hard of Hearing, and Catholic Charities.

I’ve also organized and attended charitable events with Anosh Inc Foundation, which I always enjoy doing. One of my favorites was the Anosh Inc Foundation Turkey Day, where our team, Houston’s Mayor Sylvester Turner, and community partners hosted a free turkey giveaway and provided warm Thanksgiving meals to our neighbors.

Dr. Ahmed, what goals are you working towards right now?

Much of my time right now is focused on the Anosh Inc Foundation and developing strategies to help break the cycle of poverty. Along with growing Anosh Inc, I’m also striving to make the Anosh Inc Foundation global to help people here and in other countries.

What advice or words of wisdom would you give to others, fellow entrepreneurs and anyone else?

In order to build something, you must be tenacious and extremely driven. It might not be easy, but there’s always a solution if you look hard enough.

Also, staying humble is key. Always be compassionate, honest, and there for people who need it.

That’s excellent advice, Dr. Ahmed. As someone who’s worked in healthcare and finds mental health important, can you give some tips for staying healthy that anyone could benefit from?

Of course. The most important healthy habits that can significantly impact your overall well-being are adopting a nutritious diet, keeping the body hydrated, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. I believe these four things are the foundation of a healthy body and happy life.

Do you happen to have a favorite book you’d recommend to others?

Yes, I recently read The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene and highly recommend it to any business owner, entrepreneur, or go-getter.

What do you enjoy doing when you finally get some time off?

During my time off, I like to spend time with my family and volunteer. I also enjoy traveling, trying new things, and learning about emerging technologies and businesses.
